Energy Perspectives 2025
The Swiss Federal Office of Energy (BFE) wants to plan the technical and quantitative basis for the further development of Switzerland's energy strategy up to 2060. The project aims to set the course for a secure, sustainable, and efficient energy future for Switzerland.
The project involves developing new energy perspectives for Switzerland for the Swiss Federal Office of Energy. This includes technical modeling of the energy system for various scenarios and modeling of the economic impact. GWS is leading the economic analyses and working closely with INFRAS. GWS will use the GINFORS-E-CH model for this purpose. The overall project involves close cooperation with the project management team at Prognos AG and the entire project team. The energy system modeling will be used to determine the investments required to implement the desired strategies. In addition, the economic development impacts of the various scenarios will be analyzed, as will the distributional effects on different social groups.
