Vita
Dr. Katharina Hembach-Stunden studied economics at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (B. Sc.) and at Hamburg University (M. Sc.). Subsequently she pursued her doctorate in behavioural environmental economics at Osnabrück University. In her research, she analysed how climate change and the destruction of ecosystems influence local resource management and decision-making in groups.
Since December 2022, Katharina Hembach-Stunden is working in the Energy and Climate department at GWS mbH. Her research focus and interests include the economic effects of climate change adaptation and mitigation and the clean energy transition.
As part of the Service Centre for Industrial Transformation in the Regions project, she is involved in the design and creation of key regional economic indicators for location analyses in the context of industrial transformation for the Economic and Social Department at GWS mbH.
