Vita

Remigius Szlachetka studied Economic and Social Geography, Business Administration and Law at the University Osnabrück. Within his studies he focused on retail and location analysis, market research, geoinformatics, marketing as well as European law. His diploma thesis dealt with the latest transformation of retailing in Poland on the example of the city of Wroclaw.

Since 2009, Remigius Szlatcheka works as a researcher in the GWS division ‘Economic and Social Affairs’. He mainly works on industry analyses, amongst which are the beverage industry, retail, wholesale and automotive trade sectors and parts of the care sector.

His thesis on „Modern wine trade in the multichannel system”, which he wrote for his wine diploma (WSET Diploma 2013) at the Weinakademie Österreich was awarded the scholarship of the German Wine Institute and won the Esterházy Wine Business Award.
