Opportunities and risks of climate protection measures for the Saxony's economy

Climate protection measures lead to different impacts in the economy - to increased pressure to adapt on the one hand, but also to increased demand in existing but also future business areas. For the regions within Germany, these challenges and potentials can also be very different, not least because the federal states are setting their policy priorities differently. The aim of the study is to provide an overview of the opportunities and risks of climate protection measures for various industries in Saxony and for the Saxon economy as a whole. For this purpose, model-based effects are quantified for Saxony. Based on this, recommendations will be developed on how the state government, together with the stakeholders (companies, associations, municipalities, etc.), can increase the opportunities of an ambitious climate policy and minimize the risks.
