Energy efficiency creates jobs

An EU-funded long-term project to promote energy efficiency in the countries at the southern and eastern Mediterranean, the GWS examined employment effects of the Israeli energy efficiency plan. About 5600 people are employed in this context. If the Israeli government increases the means in support of energy efficiency, as it has announced in the aftermath of COP21, more than 3200 jobs are additionally estimated.
