29.05.2021

At the first online edition of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) conference, held June 7th to 9th across all time zones, topics focus on energy, the COVID-19 pandemic, and climate change. GWS is participating with three presentations: Under the heading "Trade in Energy Technology Goods – Germany and its target markets", Maximilian Banning shows results of a project for the BMWi, in which the international trade of energy technology goods was analysed. The presentation of Christian Lutz "Developping and modeling policies to reduce rebound effects" deals with macroeconomic modeling of policy measures developed in the ReCAP project to reduce rebound effects. Lisa Becker presents socio-economic scenarios for Algeria that were developed with the model e3.dz and in which the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on economic development in interaction with the expansion of renewable energies were assessed (title: "Socio-economic effects of COVID-19 in a resource-based economy – An analysis using the macroeconomic model e3.dz for Algeria").
