Ines Thobe studied social sciences at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, majoring in rural and regional sociology (Diploma in Social Sciences 2009). As part of her studies, she completed a semester abroad at the University in Faro, Portugal.
Since 2009 she has been working for GWS mbH in the field of "Economics and Social Affairs". Her areas of responsibility include the empirical analysis of economic sectors and labour markets at national and regional level.
In the field of sector analysis, she is mainly responsible for agriculture and the food industry. In the context of labour market research, she analyses, among other things, employment structures and occupations in the socio-ecological transformation process. In terms of methodology, she is concerned both quantitatively with the study of data sets and scenarios and qualitatively with obtaining expert knowledge.
