Philip Ulrich studied Geography at the University of Würzburg (Diploma 2006). He spent two semesters in Sweden at the Universität Umeå (B.Sc. 2003). His main fields of study were geographical retail trade research and economic geography.
Since July 2006 Philip Ulrich is working for the GWS mbH in the area of regional analysis and modelling. Thereby he focuses on the depiction of economic correlations on the level of federal states and regions.
Moreover, he is involved in the further development of the GWS’ macroeconomic forecasting models that distinguish different industries and regions. He is primarily concerned with the interactions between environment and economy in the sectors of residential construction and energy supply as well as settlement development.
